COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Interim City Manager Keith Baker reported to the Coldwater City Council this week that the planning has started for the new countywide digital aerial photography project.
Baker said the project got a break from Mother Nature as winterlike conditions have prevented trees from budding too soon.
Baker indicated the updated aerial photos will show changes over the past seven years and they are expected to be delivered by July.
He said the new aerial photography will cost $268,000, of which $180,000 is being covered by a Geographic Information System grant from the State of Michigan. The remaining cost is being picked by various city, village, township and county partners of the joint GIS Authority.
