DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – Branch County will send 17 wrestlers to Ford Field in Detroit for the M.H.S.A.A. Individual Finals which will start on Friday morning.
The Division Four boys finals will include eight wrestlers from Union City and six from Bronson.
The Charger contingent include regional champions Logan Mears at 138 pounds and Alex Boyer at 150. Other Chargers competing will be Blayne Crance (106), Kaden Russell (120), Mitchell Graham (126), Mason Hawthorne (132), Aidan Taylor (144) and Montana Connell (157).
Bronson’s group will include Layne Knisely who won a regional championship at 165 pounds. Other Vikings who advanced to Ford Field were Collin York (150), Gabe Erwin (157), Mason Lindsey (190), Connor Harvey (215) and Sam Tappenden (285).
Quincy’s Landon Beardon will compete in the Division Three finals at 165 pounds.
Bronson is sending two to the M.H.S.A.A. Girls Wrestling Finals. McKenna Webster won a regional title at 140 pounds. Kailynne Scare will compete at 190 pounds.
