BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings will take a 15 game winning streak into the Division Three district tournament they will host next week.
The Vikings wrapped up the regular season on their home court Thursday night as they romped to a 63-30 victory over Portage Northern.
Despite a record of 20-2, the Vikings did not receive any votes in this week’s Michigan Sports Writers girls basketball poll. One of their two losses came to Niles Brandywine which is the top ranked team in Division Three.
The Quincy Orioles dropped their regular season finale on Senior Night as they lost to Olivet 32-16 in the Coolest Gym in Michigan.
The Orioles will take a 13-9 record into the Division Three district opener against Union City on Monday night at Bronson.
Tekonsha got a rare split on Thursday. They defeated Litchfield on a 2-0 forfeit. It was the fourth straight forfeit for the Litchfield girls basketball team. Tekonsha picked up a game with Camden-Frontier and lost 47-34.
