ROCKFORD, MI (WTVB) – Three Coldwater gymnastics team members competed on Saturday at the M.H.S.A.A. regional competition hosted by Rockford.
To be able to compete in an event at the regional competition, the girls needed to score a regional qualifying score at least four times in the regular competition season on each event. Representing Coldwater at the Regional Competition were sophomore Annika Johnson, junior Sofia Gruner, and senior Kiraly Schoenauer.
All three competed on the vault. Johnson scored an 8.0. Gruner scored an 8.3. Schoenauer finished 24th with a score of 8.65.
Schoenauer finished 18th on the bars with a score of 7.525. Both Schoenauer and Gruner competed on the balance beam. Kiraly Schoenauer scored a 7.85, while Sofia Gruner scored a 7.75.
Schoenauer and Gruner also both competed on the floor. Schoenauer scored a 8.25 while Gruner scored a 8.125.
Schoenauer was the only gymnast for Coldwater to compete in the All Around and was 23rd with a score of 32.275.
