COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Director Paul Jakubczak gave a report to the utility’s Board of Directors on Wednesday night about his meetings last week with staffs for state and federal legislative leaders during a conference in Washington, D.C. hosted by the American Public Power Association.
One issue that was pushed from the association’s standpoint was tax exempt financing and how it would affect the CBPU wastewater treatment plant.
Grant funding was also discussed.
Permitting reform was also talked about.
Jakubczak said he met last week with the staffs of Congressman Tim Walberg and Senator Gary Peters but the staff for Senator Elissa Slotkin was unavailable due to illness.
