COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Capital Outlays and Contingencies will be increased during 2017.
County Administrator Bud Norman told County Commissioners during their work session Thursday that a new phone system, issues at the county jail and the vacating of the county building by Pines Behavior were the reasons why the amounts will be increased.
There were also water issued in the Annex with the roof and windows as well as problems with the service elevator.
Norman said the fiscal support for moving a Sheriff’s Department Corrections Officer to Road Patrol will be on the next work meeting agenda. The cost for the transfer is $45,000 and Norman is suggesting the amount be taken out of Contingencies.
He estimated Capital Outlays was over spent by over $213,000 but there was $200,000 in Contingencies to compensate for this.
