COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – As the wind picks up, the power lines are coming down. Branch County and most of southern lower Michigan are under a High Wind Warning until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday. Shortly before 11:00 a.m., a 48 mile per hour wind gust was logged at the Branch County Memorial Airport.
At 11:00 a.m., Consumers Energy reported 1,988 customer outages in Branch County, 10,199 in Calhoun, 694 in Hillsdale County and 63 in St. Joseph County. That included 819 customers out in the Coldwater area, 187 in the Bronson area, and 981 in the Quincy area.
