BUTLER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A Homer man is being held in the Branch County Jail on a $150,000 bond after he was arrested Tuesday in the far northeast corner of the county by the Michigan State Police for alleged violent domestic incidents over the past week.
34-year-old Christopher Beach was booked on a felony firearm charge as well as counts of torture, unlawful imprisonment and domestic violence.
His arraignment is expected to take place Wednesday in Branch County District Court.
As a precaution, the Michigan State Police Emergency Services Team was activated for the serving of a warrant for Beach’s arrest on Herricksville Road near Besemer Road.
According to the State Police, they used the extra caution because Beach has shown suicidal tendencies in the past. The E.S.T. stood down after less than two hours of service.
