HOMER, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings have advanced to the Class C girls basketball regional finals at Homer with a 32-22 victory Tuesday night over Niles Brandywine.
After falling behind 7-0 to start the game, the Vikings settled down and fought to a 15-15 halftime tie. Bronson turned up the heat on the defensive end in the third quarter as they only allowed two points in building a 23-17 lead. The Vikings maintained their edge in the final quarter and pulled away in the final minutes as they improved to 17-7.
Bronson will play Schoolcraft for the regional title Thursday night after the 19-5 Eagles defeated Kalamazoo Hackett 51-24.
