QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Community School District is still planning to return to person to person instruction on January 11.
The Quincy School Board gave their monthly approval to the district’s extended learning plan on Monday night after Superintendent Marc Kramer said things were status quo even though high school students in Michigan were able to resume in person instruction on Monday.
The district will still be offering a fully virtual program for next semester for those who want to pursue that option.
In other business, after much discussion the board approved a motion to waive exams in middle school and high school classes on a case by case basis.
They also approved the hiring of Benjamin Gary as the new Business Manager for the district. He will take over for Rhonda Potts on January 4 after Potts accepted a position with Battle Creek Public Schools.
A business office consultation contract with Tom Tebeau of T2 Professional Business Services was also approved.
