COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A one hour presentation was made to the Coldwater Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors on Wednesday which offered some new ideas and incentives to attract businesses to the downtown area.
Interim Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker pointed out that the DDA has limited financial resources to attract business.
The presentation made by retired Alliance Foods Group Chair and CEO Bob Harris was described as a road map for reinventing downtown Coldwater retailing once again.
Harris pointed out this was still a work in progress.
As a tie in, business and building owner Andrea Pavlov presented a financial incentive proposal to the DDA board.
Board Chair Brad Rockey was optimistic this could work. The board agreed after the one hour presentation to pursue the proposals further.
