COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After losing back-to-back games for the first time this season, the Coldwater Cardinals boys varsity basketball team looks to get back on the right track tonight at home against Harper Creek. After losing at 87-80 Battle Creek Pennfield on Tuesday night, the Cardinals are 12-4 overall and 8-3 in the Interstate 8.
Coldwater has fallen back into a second place tie with Marshall in the battle for the conference title. Both teams are one game back of first place Parma Western.
The boys game will be the second part of a girls/boys varsity doubleheader with Harper Creek. The Lady Cardinals will also be looking to bounce back after Pennfield rallied to beat them 39-35 on Tuesday night. Coldwater is 13-4 overall and 7-4 in the Interstate 8.

Centreville 42, Bronson 30
Kiera Lasky led the Vikings with 10 points as Bronson lost to the second ranked Bulldogs. The Vikings record dropped to 12-6.
Concord 44, Quincy 36
Concord used a 12-5 fourth quarter to break open a close game as they defeated the Quincy 44-36. Katie Rathbun led the Orioles with 11 points while Hannah Economou grabbed 12 rebounds. Cailyn Cook and Payton Hines both had four assists. Concord forced 28 Quincy turnovers and went to the foul line 22 times compared to eight for Quincy. The Orioles are 7-11 overall and 5-7 in the Big 8.
Springport 67, Union City 20
In underclassman girls basketball, the Coldwater J.V. Lady Cards suffered a tough overtime loss 33-32 against Harper Creek. Autumn Sunderland scored 16 points for Coldwater while Jayda Kelly had 12 rebounds.
Harper Creek also won the freshman game over Coldwater 29-27. Taylor Wilber led Coldwater with eight points while Merna Yaldo had six rebounds.

The Bronson 8th grade girls basketball avenged an earlier season loss by defeating Centreville 37-12. Skye Woodman led the Vikings with 10 points.
The Bronson 7th graders lost to Centreville 25-17.
