COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Substance Abuse Task Force will be hosting a methamphetamine awareness and education meeting next Wednesday evening, February 22, 2017.
The three hour gathering is part of an effort to educate the community about the dangers of meth.
Anyone can attend the program at the Robert W. Browne Recreation Center which begins at 5:00 p.m. and it’s free. Pizza will be provided.
The Task Force began in 2004. It is now involved in educating Branch County residents about the effects of all substance abuse.
While neighboring Indiana had 1,797 methamphetamine incidents in 2013 which made the Hoosier State the meth capital of America, Michigan ranked sixth in states that same year with 607 incidents
