COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys varsity basketball team looks to bounce back following Friday’s loss at Jackson Northwest as they play at Pennfield tonight. The loss dropped Coldwater into a three way tie with Marshall and Parma Western for first place in the Interstate 8. All three teams are 8-2 in the conference. Coldwater is 12-3 overall.

The Coldwater Lady Cardinals will be looking to extend their winning streak to five straight tonight as they’ll host Pennfield. It’s the first of four straight home games to close out the regular season for Coldwater. The Cardinals are 13-3 overall and 7-3 in the Interstate 8.

Coldwater’s 8th grade A team lost to Charlotte 36-28. Maddie Beckhusen led Coldwater with 11 points.
The Coldwater 8th Grade White Team beat Charlotte 21-17 as they improved to 4-4. Joselyn Salto led Coldwater with 10 points,
The Coldwater 7th grade A team defeated Charlotte 52-8 as they improved to 6-2 this season. Four Coldwater players finished in double figures led by Jayla Foster with 16 points.Coldwater’s the 7th grade B team defeated Charlotte 27-9. Coldwater was led by Lillian Gimenez who scored seven points.
Union City’s 8th graders defeated Homer 28-26. Kassidy Bishop both Ava Winstone both scored 10 points for the Chargers.
Union City’s 7th graders defeated Homer 29-18. Summer Thorpe had a season team high with 15 points while Emma Dexter added 12 points.
The Bronson 8th graders defeated Mendon 24-13. Brooke Washburn led the Vikings with 8 points.
Bronson’s 7th graders won 22-6 at Mendon. Addie Harris had 10 points for the Vikings.
