COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – All four Coldwater High School bowling squads defeated Parma Western Wednesday. Both of the varsity teams won 30-0. The boys improved their record to 9-0 while the girls are now 7-2.
Coldwater’s boys won the two regular games with a 1,871 series to Parma’s 1,447. In the two game baker set, Coldwater won the first game 196-150, and the second game 258-180. Top scorers for Coldwater were Alec Keplinger with a 227 game and a 408 series and Tyler Newman with a 203 game and a 398 series.
The Coldwater girls won the two regular games with a 880 and 852 for a 1,732 total to Parma’s 1,204. High scorers were Cassidy Wolff with a 212 game and a 393 series while Tiffanie Corwin had a 205 game and a 381 series. Coldwater won both baker games 318-250.
Coldwater’s two JV squads bowled unopposed. For the boys, Kaleb Wilber had a 210 game and a 388 series. The top scorer for the girls was Hannah Furney with a 185 game and a 331 series.
Middle School Girls Basketball—
Coldwater’s 8th grade A team lost to Jackson Northwest 50-15. Mia Rzepka led Coldwater with 10 points.
Coldwater’s 8th grade White team lost to Jackson Northwest 40-17. Joselyn Salto had eight points for Coldwater.
Coldwater’s 7th grade A team defeated Jackson Northwest 57-6 as they improved to 5-2. Allison Miller led Coldwater with 12 points while Jayla Foster had 10 points.
The Coldwater 7th grade B team defeated Jackson Northwest 34-2. Lillian Gimenez led Coldwater with eight points.
Union City’s 8th grade team lost at Reading 29-19. Ava Winstone had 10 points for the Chargers who are now 4-2.
Bronson’s 8th grade team lost to Prairie Heights 42-16. Maddy Ratkowski and Kaylee Withington led the Vikings with four points apiece.
Bronson’s 7th grade team lost 40-1 to Prairie Heights.
