FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – A Fremont, Indiana man was taken into custody Wednesday morning by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department for allegedly committing sex crimes with a young family member.
A warrant charges 36 year old Markus Wayne DeGraw with sexual misconduct with a minor and incest. Both charges are level four felonies in Indiana.
The Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that the arrest comes after they investigated information that DeGraw allegedly had sexual contact with a family member over the age of 13 but under the age of 16.
Following an interview with Sheriff’s detectives, DeGraw was booked into the Steuben County Jail where he remains held without bond pending an initial court appearance.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Indiana Department of Child Services.
