COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A fugitive wanted for attempted murder in Utah was arrested by the Michigan State Police in Coldwater Tuesday.
Troopers at the Marshall Post say they got a citizens tip that led to the arrest of 36-year-old Reyfus Graves. Graves was wanted for attempted homicide out of Emery County, Utah.
The Emery County Sheriff’s Department says Graves and another man were involved in a shooting incident last April which stemmed from a text messaging and Facebook argument.
Court records show Graves did not appear for a September court hearing. Eventually, he made his way to Coldwater.
State Police say Graves was working at a car dealership detailing cars. He was found there on Tuesday and taken into custody by the State Police 5th District Fugitive Team.
Graves was lodged without bond on Wednesday at the Branch County jail awaiting extradition back to Utah.
