Evelyn L. Weber, 98, of Coldwater passed away Monday April 21, 2025 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
Cremation has taken place.
A family graveside service will take place Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Batavia Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home.
Evelyn was the second of five children born to Clarence and Fern (Claar) Furney and was born September 29,1926, in Batavia Township. Evelyn grew up on the family farm and graduated from Coldwater High School.
While working at Quality Springs in Coldwater she met Edward H. Weber. They were married September 2,1945, in Angola, Indiana and he preceded her in death November 15,1994.
Evelyn was a dedicated homemaker taking care of their five children. During her time as a homemaker, she picked up jobs working at Lamb Knit in Colon, EMS Wire and the Lewis Egg Farm, both in Orland, Indiana.
Evelyn loved gardening, reading, baking, being outside, watching wildlife and listening to country music. An excellent cook, Evelyn could make a meal out of just about anything and shared her many talents with her family.
She especially loved camping, whether that be for a night or a week. She loved sitting by the campfire, spending time with her family. telling stories of earlier years and enjoying the laughter of the many stories of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by her children Jon (Janet) Weber of Fremont, IN, Kenneth Weber of Burr Oak, MI, Don (Linda) Weber of Bronson, MI, David (Jean) Weber of Homer, MI, Mary Weber of Angola, IN; her sister Neta Hardy of Buchanan, MI; and her 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and her many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her brothers Glen, Neil and Duane Furney.
