BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Sheriffs Office Deputies were dispatched to the intersection U.S. 12 and Holmes Road for a car vs semi-truck and trailer personal injury accident.
The accident shut down U.S. 12 for approximately four hours.
Through the investigation it was determined that 51-year-Gregory Hardy of Bronson was westbound on U.S. 12 when he veered left and drove over the centerline into the east bound lane and struck a semi-truck driven by 55-year-old Jeffery Skala of Three Oaks. Skala attempted to avoid the collision but was unable to.
Hardy was transported by LifeCare Ambulance from the scene to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo with unspecified injuries. Skala was not injured in the accident.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Bronson Fire Department, LifeCare Ambulance, the Michigan State Police Motor Carrier Division, and the Branch County Road Commission.
