Eric Devon Reese, 52, of Coldwater passed away at the University of Michigan hospital in Ann Arbor Saturday, May 10, 2025.
There will be no funeral services.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home George White Chapel in Quincy.
He was born in Coldwater December 21, 1972, to Larry and Linda (Barry) Reese.
Eric graduated from Coldwater High School, class of 1990, and went on to earn a certificate in automotive tech. He worked at Odrens in Coldwater and Zurcher Tire in Angola as a service manager for many years.
When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed tinkering with cars at home and spending time on the computer. He loved to watch movies and TV shows, including The Walking Dead.
Eric had a soft spot for people and helped his friends and family any chance he had. He had an outgoing personality and could talk to anyone, including his pet cats at home.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Reese of Coldwater; brother, Larry Patrick (Lori) Reese of Indianapolis; two half-sisters, Jenny and Kelly Reese of Coldwater; uncle, Mark Barry of Quincy; step grandma, Jan Barry; aunt, Amy Regel; nephew, Spencer (Shannon) Reese; and cousins, Shannon and Angie Parker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Reese; grandpa, Lyle Barry; grandma Doris Lewis; grandparents Maxine and Darryl Reese; and aunt, Laura Barry.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Branch County.
