BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, BRANCH CO, MI (WTVB) – Two young boys witnessed the dumping of a dead dog along the side of the road in northern Branch County Sunday, and now the Humane Society of Branch County is asking the public to help them find the person who dumped the dog.
The boys who witnessed the incident say the dead dog was thrown out of an old yellow pick up truck at the north end of Wheeler Road last Sunday.
The Humane Society said on their Facebook page that the truck was really loud with a bumper that is slightly tilted.
After dumping the dog, the truck headed west on Barnhart Road.
The two young boys who witnessed the incident told their parents, who then contacted the authorities.
The posting of the disturbing pictures of the dead dog has generated outrage on the Humane Society’s Facebook page. The dog appeared to have been abused and starved.
There have been over 1,500 shares of the posting as of Wednesday night and there have been nearly 500 comments.
