BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man was injured Tuesday night when his vehicle crashed into a tree at the intersection of Batavia and Central Roads.
Michigan State Police report 34-year-old John Joseph Bertich was traveling south on Batavia Road at about 8:00 p.m.he when failed to stop at the intersection of Central Road.
His vehicle crashed into a tree on the south side of Central Road. Bertich was pinned in his vehicle and had to be extricated from the vehicle by Bronson firefighters.
Troopers say Bertich was not wearing his safety belt at time of the crash. He suffered undetermined injuries after hitting the steering wheel and windshield.
Bertich was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne by Life Care Ambulance. Troopers are continuing their investigation. They were assisted by the Bronson Fire and Police Departments and LifeCare Ambulance.
