UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school basketball, Quincy used a 15-5 fourth quarter to break open a tight two point game and they went on to defeat Branch County rival Union City 43-31 Tuesday night. It was a much closer game than just a couple of weeks ago when Quincy won by 42 points.
Hannah Economou led a balanced Quincy attack with 10 points and 19 rebounds including 11 on the offensive glass. Ally Parrish and Zoe Aseltine both had eight points for Quincy.
Autumn Carpenter led the Chargers with 10 points and seven rebounds while Dani Cross had eight points and five steals.
Also Tuesday night, Bronson topped Battle Creek St Philip 37-36. Ashton Wronikowski led Bronson with 15 points. The Vikings improved to 9-2 as they have won four straight.
