Janice A. “Jan” Anderson, 89, of Coldwater passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Greenwood Nursing Home in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 16, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Jeff Bream officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will take place prior to the service from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Janice was born May 20, 1935 in Coldwater to William and Elsie (Connell) VanBlarcum. She married Merle Anderson June 7, 1972, in Angola, IN. He preceded her in death June 8, 2006.
Jan managed apartment complexes, and storage units in California for 10 years. She was a member of the Northview Christian Church, and formerly the Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, baking, and decorating cakes.
Jan is survived by her children Christine (Barry) Bondy of Coldwater, Dawn Stephens of Bowling Green, KY, and Cathie (Roger) Soneja of Marysville, WA; her brother James (Linda) VanBlarcum of Coldwater; her grandchildren Melissa, TJ, Kayla, Emily, Nathan; and 6 great grandsons.
In addition to her husband, Janice was preceded in death by her sister Jean Byers, and son-in-law Terry Stephens.
Memorials may be directed to the family to help with funeral expenses.
