COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)- It may be something we just have to get used to this summer, smoke from Canadian wild fires.
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy has again declared an Air Quality Advisory though Friday at noon for the entire Lower Peninsula.
Smoke associated with Canadian wildfires continues to persist over the state, Levels of PM2.5 into the unhealthy range for sensitive groups are expected.
It is recommended that when possible avoid strenuous outdoor activities especially those with heart disease and respiratory issues like asthma should monitor symptoms like wheezing, coughing, chest tightness or burning nose, throat, and eyes.
For inside the home it’s advised to keep windows closed and run central air conditioning if possible.
