Lawrence “Larry” Yerrick, 78, of Bronson, Michigan passed away peacefully Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, surrounded by his devoted family.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Oscar Brown’s Tavern (Bella Vista Golf Course) south of Coldwater from 2:00-5:00 p.m. with a special tribute at 3:00 p.m
Larry was born May 27, 1947 in Munising, Michigan to Stanley and Peggy (Ketchum) Yerrick. He was first married to Janice Parah-Hill, with whom he shared three wonderful children. Later in life, he married Nancy (Losinski) Yerrick, his beloved wife of 45 years.
Larry dedicated 20 years to Pennsylvania Life Insurance and also spent many years driving truck.
Larry had a variety of interests that brought him joy. He was an avid slow-pitch softball player, a passionate hunter, particularly fond of deer hunting, and a dedicated fisherman. His garden was a source of pride.
Larry was also a loyal fan of Detroit sports, enjoying Tigers baseball, University of Michigan football, and Detroit Lions games. He found entertainment and excitement in visits to the casino. He was a member of St. Mary’s Assumption Church.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Yerrick of Bronson; his children, Stephenie (Jeremy) Nelson of Three Rivers, Shannon Yerrick of Burr Oak, Lawrence (Nicole) Yerrick II of Muskegon, and Jill (Chris) Vinson of Bronson; his 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Robert (Joanne) Yerrick, Bill (Val) Yerrick, Heidi (John) Montella, and Laurie (Mike) Stefanka; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stan Yerrick; his grandson, Carson Vinson; his parents; and two sisters, Becky Yerrick and Judy Fuller.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to St. Mary’s Assumption School in Bronson.
