QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The search for a new school superintendent in Quincy has reached the interview stage of the process.
Four candidates have emerged to be interviewed next week by the board of education after a lengthy selection process.
Sean Wightman, principal at Dowagiac Union School District will interview Monday at 5:00 p.m., while the remaining three candidates are scheduled for next Tuesday June 17.
They include Michael Ehinger,the current superintendent of Whittemore- Prescott Area Schools, Wanda Grondin, principal with the Alpena Public Schools, and John Denny, retired superintendent with the Hanover-Horton School district.
Current superintendent Marc Kramer announced his retirement back in April, effective at the end of this month. The district is hoping to have a new superintendent in place by July 1.
