near the 346 mile marker in rural Steuben Township on a report of a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.
Upon the arrival of initial first responders, a motorcycle was located in the ditch along with the operator who appeared to be seriously injured.

Snyder then traveled off of the east side of the roadway into a ditch causing the motorcycle to go down throwing Snyder from the bike.
Snyder sustained multiple injures including an arm fracture and a head injury.
He was flown from the scene to Parkview Regional Medical Center in serious condition by the Samaritan helicopter for treatment. The weather and roadway were clear at the time of the crash.
There was a helmet found in the crash debris, but there was no indication that Snyder was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor at this time however, there was evidence of drug involvement which is being investigated by the Sheriff Office and those results are pending.
