COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Strong winds knocked down trees and caused a handful of power outages throughout Branch County on Tuesday night.
A wind gust of 45 miles an hour was recorded at the Branch County Memorial Airport at about 9:15pm.
Fremont Road between East Channel Drive and Central Road was shut down for a while due to a downed tree and several damaged power poles.
Just over 100 Consumer Energy customers north of Coldwater were without power on Wednesday morning.
As many as 30,000 customers system wide lost power at the height of the outages.
