UPDATE: The National Weather Service has extended their Winter Weather Advisory until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday.
COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, in effect from 1:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m.Thursday for Branch County and the surrounding area.
According to the NWS, snow will develop shortly after midnight before changing over to a mixture of sleet, snow, and freezing rain into early Tuesday morning. This wintry mix is expected to change over to all rain by mid-morning Tuesday.
Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches expected.
Light ice and snow accumulations may create slippery road conditions late tonight into Tuesday morning. Back roads and roads less traveled may remain icy through late morning even as temperatures warm above freezing.
