HOMER, MI (WTVB) – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal accident that occurred just after 11 Thursday night.
At approximately 11:08 p.m., the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an accident on M-60 near 29 Mile Road in Homer Township.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a single vehicle in the middle of the roadway with extensive damage. Preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle, driven by a 39-year-old Concord man, was traveling eastbound on M-60 when it left the roadway and overturned. Investigators believe the driver was ejected during the crash.
Emergency medical assistance was rendered immediately; however, the driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
At this time, it is unknown whether speed or alcohol were contributing factors. The crash remains under investigation.
