MURRAY, KY (WTVB) -Murray State has signed its College World Series baseball coach to a four-year contract extension.
Head coach Dan Skirka reportedly signed the new deal after he gained national prominence by taking the Racers all the way to Omaha and the College World Series for the first time in the 86-year history of the school’s program.
Along the way, The Union City native was voted the NCAA Coach of the Year.
Terms of the new deal have not been released, but Skirka is expected to be the highest paid coach in the Missouri Valley Conference.
