GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WTVB) – Junior Achievement of Southwest Michigan, which provides programming in Branch County, recently announced the hiring of a new district director, Katia Martin. She started with the organization earlier this month.
Martin had been the senior coordinator in consulting operations for 3Cloud/BlueGranite. Prior to that, she spent over ten years in operational leadership with a variety of YMCA operations both in Michigan and on the east coast.
Martin holds a master’s degree from the University of Illinois and a B.A. from Central Michigan University. “Katia brings a very successful background in program delivery, relationship building, and the development of resources,” said Laura Lutterbeck, COO, JA of the Michigan Great Lakes. “Already in her early tenure with JA, she is making a difference, and I can’t wait to see the big things she’ll do to expand JA impact in the Southwest Michigan market.”
Junior Achievement’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy by providing work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs to K-12 students. They offer a number of programs in area schools in conjunction with local businesses.
