QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Community Schools Board of Education Wednesday night selected John Denney to be the district’s next superintendent.
Denney has served as superintendent of Hanover- Horton Schools for nearly twelve years, during his tenure he was able to pass two bond proposals to upgrade facilities through out the district.
While working his way to superintendent Denney has served in multiple capacities in education while in the Leslie, Eaton Rapids, Hudson and Napoleon districts, as a teacher, coach, assistant principal and principal.
The extensive search included input and feedback from community members, administrators, faculty, parents and students from the beginning to the end of the hiring process.
Denney and the board of education have begun contract negotiations, with Denny expected to assume the position July 1, replacing the retiring Marc Kramer.
