COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – As the Fourth of July approaches, fireworks can legally be set off across Michigan beginning this weekend.
Under state law, starting on Sunday and ending next Saturday, July 5th, fireworks can be lit off from 11 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
As a reminder, those who are caught lighting fireworks outside of those time periods can face a fine of up to $1,000 depending on the municipality.
