COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The latest sculpture in downtown Coldwater has been erected.
“Balanced Beams” by artist Gregory Mendez is the latest sculpture to join downtown’s growing outdoor gallery.
Mendez says, “The sculpture demonstrates balance and movement. When viewed from different perspectives, it seems to resemble a campfire flame dancing.”
You’ll find it across from Tibbits Opera House in Tibbits Plaza, where it will be on display for one year.
This installation is part of Coldwater Main Street’s inaugural public art program, which has already brought nine other artworks to the community this summer.
Still to come this summer are two more murals to be completed in July and August.
