James “Jim” H. Strock Sr., 82, of Quincy passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Insight Hospital and Medical Center Coldwater.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
All arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Jim was born July 9, 1942 to Donald V. and Clara (Wager) Strock, in Youngstown, OH. He later graduated from THE Ohio State University. Jim spent many years working in sales for many companies including Eveready Batteries and Igloo Coolers.
Jim was a member of the Quincy Athletic Booster, Marble Lake Association, and the Quincy Township Board. In his free time, he enjoyed boating, going to Butler Speedway, and Quincy and Ohio State Athletics.
Jim truly enjoyed helping others, he was so kind, and generous towards everyone. Nothing meant more to him than spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his children Jim (Shannon) Strock Jr.; Lori (Chris) Strohl; Steve (Kelly) Strock; his sister Sally (Fred) Harbath; his grandchildren Zach; T.J. (Camila); Rachael (Marc); Jimmy (Shelby); Michaela (Justin); Sam; Cade; Michael (Louisa); Abby (Hunter); Brek; his 5 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Peg Peters and Bud Strock.
