QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Village of Quincy has begun accepting letters of interest from residents interested in filling an open seat on the Village Council.
The open seat was vacated recently when Matt Smead resigned to accept the Village Managers position. The appointed person will complete Smeads term that is set to expire in November of 2026. The Village Council meets twice monthly, the first Tuesday for a workshop and the third Tuesday for the Council meeting.
Interested individuals must be a resident of the Village of Quincy and a board application must be returned by next Thursday July 31st at 5 p.m.

Letters of interest along with applications can be mailed to or dropped off at the Village Hall, at 47 West Cole Street, Quincy, MI 49802
Interviews will be conducted at the August 19th Council meeting.
