The following story was updated to correct the wording of the Question of the Day by the Branch County Democrats Thursday, August 7 at the Branch County Fair to “Are you concerned about cuts to Social Security and healthcare benefits?”
COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A poll taken this week by Branch County Democrats at the Branch County Fair revealed 99% of those surveyed said “yes” to the question “Are you concerned about cuts to Social Security and healthcare benefits?”
That drew the ire of 5th District Congressman Tim Walberg, who said this morning that’s not true.
Walberg accused Democrats of stoking fear over language in the bill that doesn’t exist.
Walberg went on to say Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security won’t be touched. The congressman added that the solvency of Social Security for the future is a need that has to be addressed.
Listen to Ken Delaney’s interview with Tim Walberg in its entirety again:

Walberg is a waste of our tax $. He certainly wouldn’t know the truth if he stared it in the face. We will, unfortunately know soon enough when we are stripped of our life long benefits that he lied and doesn’t care whom he hurts.
Last week my Nurse who calls me one a month told me she would not be calling anyone because the Toledo Clinic stopped the program that was paid for with Medicare. I’ve used this service for years and found it very helpful. Being a senior it she navigated through all the programs giving me the needed care without bothering my primary doctor. I could call her anytime and she would get back with me in a day. So when I here Walberg say there is no cuts to Medicare, he’s either lying or uninformed to what he’s done to his constituents.
