COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners formally approved a request from the Veterans Affairs office Tuesday to sell a 2016 Ford Transit Van to Cole Ford Lincoln of Coldwater for $12,500.
The action came after a majority of the V.A. board voted to sell the van.
County Commission Chair Randall Hazelbaker said the local dealership stepped forward after there was no interest from the public.
Branch County Veterans Affairs Director and Counselor Nick Easterling told Commissioners during their August 1 work session he was not looking to replace that vehicle and that they will use the money from the sale for their constituents.
Currently, the Branch County V.A. office has four vehicles.
