HASTINGS, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School girls and boys basketball teams open their Interstate 8 Conference schedule Friday night at Hastings.
The games were originally scheduled for Coldwater but athletic officials at both schools agreed to a switch since Coldwater did not have any home Friday night games in January. Hastings in turn will play at Coldwater on January 25.

In girls junior varsity action at Coldwater Thursday, Coldwater beat Hasting 42-25. Abby Herman led a balanced Coldwater attack with 10 points and nine rebounds.
In the girls freshman action, Coldwater rolled past Hastings 42-12. Jayla Foster led Coldwater with 18 points, eight steals and five assists.
Coldwater won the boys freshman game over Hastings 57-29. Nate Tappenden had 14 points. Logan Farmer had 12 points and Joe Closson finished the night with 10.
