COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education Monday night passed a revised policy on the student use of cell phones during the school day, Included in the revision were the penalties if a student is caught using a phone while school is in session.
If a student is caught with their phone, they’ll lose in on the first offence and have to pick it up at the end of the day.
Second offense he parents will have to be the ones to pick up the phone at the end of the day.
If it reaches a third offense, the student will have to go on a cell phone plan where they’ll have to turn in their phone consecutively for a five day span.
The ban is in effect during school hours only and does not apply for extracurricular activities and field trips.
