LANSING, MI (WJXQ) – Michigan State Police have a 48-year-old Charlotte man in the Lansing City Jail for allegedly calling in a bomb threat to the state Capitol Thursday morning.
Michael Varrone was arrested outside his house in Charlotte yesterday afternoon. Varrone is expected to be arraigned today.
The all-clear had been given that there was no bomb by 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Workers were then able to return to their offices.
The Capitol is closed to the public at this time due to COVID-19 restrictions.
