COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker has announced that Mariah Welke will expand her role with the Recreation Department team beginning next month as a full time Recreation Coordinator.
She started working for the City in 2005 working at the Heritage Pool and officiating league games while attending Siena Heights University. Welke worked for the City while she attended Spring Arbor University to obtain a degree in Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Management.
Baker says in his report for Monday’s City Council meeting that Welke brings significant knowledge and experience to the recreation department where she will continue to provide more community programs and special events.
Meanwhile, Baker says Officer Michael Tripp has resigned from the Coldwater Police Department to take a position with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department.
