BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – After three weeks of the high school football season, the Pigskin Prophet is 11-1 in his Branch County high school football predictions after a second straight 4-0 week.
Overall for the season, the PP is 19-5 after going 5-1 on the college and pro picks last week.
Here’s the week #4 Branch County high school football slate…
JACKSON NORTHWEST AT COLDWATER
It’s Homecoming for the Cardinals as they look to bounce back following last Friday’s 49-28 loss to Harper Creek.
The 2-1 Cardinals are also looking for revenge against the Mounties after letting a 10 point fourth quarter lead get away last year at Northwest.
The Mounties are 1-2 with a win over Kalamazoo Loy Norrix and losses to Adrian and Hastings.
The Cardinals, whose offense has posted 110 points this season, should get back on track Friday night before a Homecoming crowd.
The PP says COLDWATER 35, JACKSON NORTHWEST 24
BRONSON AT CASSOPOLIS
The 2-1 Bronson Vikings travel to Cassopolis Friday night to battle the 1-2 Rangers.
White Pigeon blasted Cassopolis last week 72-12 while Bronson took care of Hartford 46-19 to move to 1-1 in the Southwest 10.
It will be another lopsided win for Bronson.
The PP says Bronson 45, Cassopolis 14
UNION CITY AT STOCKBRIDGE
The Union City Chargers play the first of three straight road games Friday night at Stockbridge
Five of the Chargers first six games this season are on the road.
The Chargers are 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the Big 8 Conference while Stockbridge is 0-3 after losing to Quincy last week 40-29.
The Panthers have surrendered 123 points in the first three games while Union City has scored 88 points so far.
If the Chargers can avoid a let down, they should go to 4-0.
The PP says Union City 42, Stockbridge 21
QUINCY AT COMSTOCK
The turnaround continues at Quincy. After going 0-9 last season, the Orioles have started 3-0 in 2025 thanks to an offense which has produced 160 points in the first three games.
The Comstock Colts are off to a rough 0-3 start and have been outscored so 116-28.
Quincy must also guard against a let down. If the Orioles and Union City both win their games Friday night, that will set up a battle of unbeatens for first place in the Big 8 Conference next week in Quincy. But first things first.
The PP says Quincy 45, Comstock 17
