COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal girls volleyball team went 3-0 in a quad meet it hosted Saturday, beating all three teams they faced in straight sets. They defeated Loy Norrix 25-14, 25-20, 25-18, knocked off Schoolcraft 25-16, 25-18, 25-23, and beat Cassopolis 25-14, 25-16, 25-18.
For the day, Mya Porter had 35 kills and 19 digs; Aubrey Gebbink had 24 kills, 10 service aces, and and 20 digs; and Marie Powers had 14 kills and 7 blocks. Setter Brooklyn Closson had 68 assists to go with 12 aces and 24 digs, and Maren DeBeau had a team-high 26 digs.
The Cardinals improved to 12-7-2 on the season and will visit Pennfield on Wednesday.

ONSTED, MI – At the Onsted Invitational, Quincy went 0-1-2 in pool play, tying Onsted and Grass Lake and losing to Petersburg Summerfield 25-14, 25-19. The Orioles proceeded to go undefeated in bracket play and defeated Onsted to win the Silver Division of the tournament.
Ashlyn Fickle had 35 kills, 2 blocks, and 20 assists; Laura Bostic had 19 kills, 4 blocks, and 26 digs; and Kora Timmons added 12 kills. Kyha Brewer had 32 assists, 31 digs, and 6 service aces, while Olivia Davenport had 47 digs and 10 assists.
Quincy improved to 8-5-3 on the season and will host defending Big 8 champion Bronson on Tuesday.
PORTAGE, MI – Bronson is now 11-8-4 on the season after going 1-2-1 at the Portage Northern Huskie Invitational. The Vikings lost to Portage Northern 25-13, 25-14, tied Sturgis 22-25, 25-16, beat Ottawa Hills 25-21, 25-18, and lost to Otsego 25-16, 25-20.
