COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Community Schools Superintendent Terry Boguth said during Monday night’s Board of Education meeting that the district’s fall enrollment is down by 37 students compared to last year.
She said the Full Time Equivalent enrollment was 2,793 students while the actual student enrollment was 2,939.
Boguth said the budget will be amended in January to account for the loss of students as well as for the changes in staffing they had over the summer.
In other business, Boguth reported the bid opening for the work next summer at Legg Middle School will be held December 18, 2018. The bid opening for the new fourth and fifth grade school will take place sometime in January.
The board also accepted the resignation of Coldwater High School girls softball coach Tina Scheidler. She had been in the softball program for 28 years and was the girls softball head coach for the past 16 seasons. She retired as a high school employee last year.
