ATHENS, MI (WTVB) – New charges have been brought against a former Athens teacher charged with having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.
Tyler Millward had been charged with using a computer to commit a crime and three counts of making false statements to police. But that was before the girl was apparently willing to testify against him.
Now that she has had a change of heart, he has now been charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree. The 30-year-old Millward was terminated from his job teaching science earlier this year.
He was arraigned on the latest charges Thursday in Calhoun County District Court. Bond was set at $50,000 and a preliminary exam was set for December 4th.
