COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – What has become a Halloween tradition over the last decade has had to be cancelled this year.
The Coldwater Recreation Department announced over the weekend that due to the improvement project now ongoing at Rotary Park, this year’s Haunted Forest has been cancelled.
Phase One of the improvement project of Rotary Park that began two weeks ago includes new restrooms and boat ramps, as well as construction of a new entrance and a new fishing area along the west side of the Narrows Channel near the bridge.
In a Facebook post, the Coldwater Recreation Department said, “Unfortunately due to the ongoing construction at the park they won’t be able to host the Haunted Forrest this year but stress they will be back bigger and better than ever with even more thrills and chills to enjoy for Halloween 2026.”
