HASTINGS, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater ran in the second and final Interstate 8 cross country jamboree of the season Tuesday at Charlton Park in Hastings. The Cardinal boys came in third with 68 points, while the girls were fifth with 119 points.
Coldwater had three junior place in the top twelve in the boys race: Luke Aerts in seventh, Sebastian Hernandez in 10th, and Drew Vanderpuyl in 12th. Also scoring were Aiden Parker in 17th and Lucas Newberry in 22nd.
The Lady Cards were paced by Gwen Eby’s fifth place finish. Ellerie Bucklin came in 17th, Miyah Moore 35th, Olivia Golematis 37th, and Isabella Angevine 53rd.
Legg Middle School finished sixth in the middle school boys race with 150 points, while the girls were fourth with 121 points.

Coldwater will run at the Portage Invitational Saturday at Portage West Middle School.

READING, MI – Bronson swept to victory in the second Big 8 jamboree of the season, hosted by Reading at Kimball Camp.
In the boys race, the Vikings won with 54 points, while Union City came in second with 62 points and Quincy finished third with 72 points. Scoring for Bronson were Brayton Cosby (4th), Denver Siler (9th), Adam Franks (11th), Carter Sikorski (14th), and Jack Ganton (16th). Union City’s Ben Gautsche came in first; also scoring for the Chargers were Cullen Decker (3rd), Noah June (8th), Luke McKown (23rd), and Brady Anthony (27th). For the Orioles, Hunter Walker was sixth, Chayse Jensen 12th, Eddie Miller 17th, Nathan Dunn 18th, and Coy Wood 19th.
The Lady Vikes won the girls race with 27 points, Union City was third with 91 points, and Quincy finished seventh with 162 points. Bronson’s Ashlynn Harris won the race, with Miriam Sanchez third, Alonna Goodsell fourth, Piper Grigsby eighth, and Lydia Wells 11th. Scoring for the Chargers were Parker Williams (14th), Carly Smith (15th), Elizabeth Arlt (19th), McKenzie Hawks (20th), and Kylie Creech (22nd). For the Orioles, Kendyl Musielewicz was 18th, Elizabeth Craig 30th, and Clare Robertson 33rd.
